Q: What are the times for your services?

Q: What denomination is this church?
A: The Tabernacle is an independent Pentecostal church not belonging to any denomination. We are a member of the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies. Click the appropriate tab on the left for our statement of faith and church history.
Q: What is the length of the Sunday services?
A: All services are approximately 1.5 hours each.
Q: When is your Sunday School?
A: Adult Sunday School (Life Development Program) is held from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. Children's Sunday School meets from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. Details on Sunday School classes are available at the ministry counter.
Q: Is child care provided?
A: Child care is provided at all services.
Q: Are there programs for older children during services?
A: Yes there are.
Q: Does your church baptize infants?
A: We believe the Word of God establishes believer baptism. See our statement of faith.
Q: How can I get on your mailing list?
A: You can learn about Special Events in several ways:

Q: Does the church have a bookstore?
A: The bookstore is presently in the process of relocation. Because of this, the bookstore is closed until further notice. However, individual orders can still be placed by calling ext. 131. Thank you for understanding.
Q: Do you provide referrals to Christian counseling?
A: Yes, we provide both pastoral counseling and referrals on a confidential basis. For further information call the church office office at 265-2485.
Q: Does your church offer marriage counseling?
A: Marriage counselling is available at the church. We also run seminars for couples planning to be married as well as those who are already married.
Q: Do you also provide support groups for Grief Care/Divorce Care?
A: Programs in these areas are offered. Call the church office at 631-265-2485 for more information.
Q: Do you have simultaneous Spanish translation?
A: Yes for Sunday morning services. Headsets are available at the Ministries Counter.
Q: Is the church handicap accessible?
A: Wheelchair accessible seating is available in the sanctuary.
Q: Do you have to be a member to take part in any of the ministries of the church?
A: All church ministries are available to any interested parties, however, our ministry leaders must be church members.

Q: Does the church have a pre-teen group?
A: Yes, click here to visit our children's ministry website.
Q: Does the church tape any of its services?
A: Yes, CD's of the Sunday services may be obtained in the Media Center.
Q: How large is the church?
A: God has blessed the church with significant attendance, but we have maintained a friendly open atmosphere.
Q: Do you have a choir?
A: God has blessed us with an adult and children's choir.
Q: Can your facility be rented?
A: It is not our practice to rent the facilities.
Q: How is a wedding arranged through the church?
A: Call the church office if you are planning a wedding. Pre-marital counseling is required of all couples being married in our church. Call the church office at 631-265-2485 for more information.
Q: Can the church facilities be used for a wedding reception?
A: Church facilities may be used by church members on an availability basis. Call the church office at 631-265-2485 for more information.
Q: What are the hours of the church office?
A: Regular business hours are 9am-5pm EST. Voice mail is provided after regular business hours 631-265-2485.
Q: How would I arrange for my baby to be dedicated?
A: To schedule baby dedications call the church office.
Q: How can I become a member of Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle?
A: All prospective members must attend a membership class which gives information on our beliefs and organization. Once completed, prospective members must meet with a member in leadership for an interview and then be approved at a church meeting. Call the church office to schedule these events.

A: Both Smithtown Christian Day Care and Happy Time Nursery School are ministries of Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle. Click here for more information on both of these ministries.
Q: Do you provide transportation?
A: School transportation is provided by your local school district.
